TUESDAY Kathmandu, 12 March: Government Tuesday announced a public holiday to observe Gyalpo Lhoshar of the Sherpa community that observed the day one month ago. Government fized the Sherpa Loshar Tuesday on recommendation of the official Panchayan Nirnayak Samiti. Tamangs and Gurungs selebrate Loshar on different days. Three ethnic groups celebrate the spring festival on three separate days. “This [mistake] happened because the day was fixed today without consulting our community.
