LIGHTNING KILLS ONE, INJURES 18 IN BAGLUNG Kathmandu, 19 March:: An elderly woman died and 18 others were injured after they were struck by a lightening on Sunday night at Tityang VDC-3 in Baglung and Myagdi districts, The Rising Nepal reports from Baglung.. Seventy-eight-year old Mana Kumari Khadka died on the spot when the lightening struck her. At the time the incident took place She was taking her goats to a shed after inclement weather. Similarly, two other cowsheds belonging to a local, Kamal Gotame at Dudilabhati village, caught fire due to lightening Sunday night. Gotame, however, succeeded to bring out his domestic animals safely from the cowsheds. Meanwhile, 11 other locals residing at Arman VDC06 in Myagdi district were injured in the lightening. Health condition of Jit Narayan B.K, one among the injured ones, is critical. Of the total injured, seven of them were students studying at Sishu Kalyan Secondary School of the district. nnnn
