NSU CONTINUES HUNGER STRIKE AT VICE-CHANCELLOR’S OFFICE Kathmandu, 25 March: Five activists of Nepal Students’ Union (NSU), a student of the NC, continued their hunger strike at the door of the TU vice-chancellor’s office Monday for the second consecutive day. NSU is demanding announcement of dates for free union elections. Nnnn ONE KILLED, IN CHITWAN VEHICULAR ACCIDENT Kathmandu, 25 March : An old man died and a teenaged boy was critically injured when a tractor overturned in the passengers waiting shed at Jyamire, Chainpur-2 in east Chitwan on Monday. The tractor (Na.3 Ta. 7157) was heading towards Ratnanagar from Khaireni Parsa at the time of the accident, RSS reports from Chitwan. . The deceased is Lila Dallakoti, 88 of Chainpur VDC in Chitwan. He was resting in the waiting shed when the tractor suddenly overturned there, said the District Police Office Chitawan. Dallakoti died on Sunday evening while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur based College of Medical Sciences. The injured Prakash Giri, 14, of Gitanagar is undergoing treatment in the same hospital. The tractor has been taken under control but the driver is absconding, said police. Meanwhile two persons were injured when a truck veered off the road and fell down on the bank of the Trishuli River at Bhaludhunga on the Narayangadh-Mugling highway in Chitawan on Sunday evening.
