OFFICIAL KILLED IN ACCIDENT
Kathmandu, 19 March: An Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Finance died this morning after his head collision against a window bar in a Tempo, RSS reports.
Gyan Raj Shrestha ,55, who was travelling in the Tempo (Ba 1 Ha 3651) to reach his residence at Old Baneshwor, fell unconscious after colliding in the window bar.
Shrestha was rushed to the Thapathali-based Norvic International Hospital but died while receiving treatment.
Police have held tempo driver Ashok Tamang of Kavre district.

NO PENSION FOR MINISTERS WHO ARE RETIRED CIVIL SERVNTS
Kathmandu, 19 March: Ministers, who are retired special class officials .
won’t receive their pensions.
This was decided by the cabinet Tuesday.
They will draw salaries as minister.
Fifteen under-secretaries were promoted. as joint secretaries.

MINISTER GHIMERE SAYS GOVT. WORKING FOR VOTE
Kathmandu, 19 March: Minister for Home Affairs Madhav Prasad Ghimire has said that the incumbent government is working hard to fulfill the aspirations of Nepali people to promulgate the new constitution through election, RSS reports..
Addressing the 11th anniversary of the National Dalit Commission in Lalitpur today, Minister Ghimire expressed the determination that the government formed through political consensus would hold the election.
He said the government was formed to hold free and fair election to the Constituent Assembly (CA).
Stating that it was necessary to formulate the Racial Discrimination and Untouchability (Crime and Punishment) Regulations to make the Commission strong, the Home Minister said that he would extend the necessary support to that end.
He said it was necessary to end racial discrimination and untouchability as such activities are against the human rights.
On the occasion, Home Minister Ghimire honoured various people including former Chairman of the Commission, Padam Singh Bishwokarma, Tek Tamrakar, Dhansar Bishwokarma and Ram Ratan Harijan for their contribution to the Dalit movement.
Chairperson of the Commission, Sushila Shripali (Thakuri), said that the government should provide support to make the commission strong. RSS
