PARAS OUT OF DANGER EXTRACT Kathmandu, 11 March:: : Former Crown Prince Paras Shah, who is undergoing treatment at Bangkok –based Samitivej Hospital after a massive heart attack on February 19, is likely to be shifted to general ward from Intensive Care Unit on Monday, The Himalayan Times reports. Sunil Khadka‚ general secretary of Non-Resident Nepali Association (Thailand Chapter), informed that the hospital is preparing to shift him to the general ward as his health condition has significantly improved, the Annapurna Post reported on Monday. The 42-year-old royal gained his consciousness six days ago. Though the doctors have not put any restriction on visitors, his family has allowed only the close relatives to meet him, according to Shah's wellwishers in Bangkok. His father Gyanendra, mother Komal and wife Himani have been regularly visiting Shah. It has been learnt that former King Gyanendra has asked his son's friends and wellwishers not to hurry meeting Paras for the moment. Referring to the doctors and royal family members, Khadka informed that Shah is out of danger now. He, however, revealed that he has not met the ailing Shah since he came out of the comatose stage. “We most probably will be allowed to meet him by Monday at the general ward,” Khadka told the Annapurna Post over the telephone. Nnnn UML CHAIRMAN KHANAL HOPES CONSENSUS Kathmandu, 11 March: Chairman of the CPN-UML, Jhala Nath Khanal on Monday said that consensus would be forged very soon among political parties for a political outlet, RSS reports.. Khanal made this remark at a programme organised at the party office of the CPN-UML today by the Central Publicity Department of the party to congratulate the new working committee of the Press Chautari Nepal (PCN). He said they have also reached close to consensus on procedural issues for amending articles related to removing obstacles of the interim constitution for giving political outlet. The UML Chairman expressed the confidence that framework of consensus would be finalized by tonight, otherwise, as soon as possible. Khanal congratulated the newly elected working committee of the Press Chautari Nepal and wished for their successful term.
