PM LIGHTS A LAMP FOR HUGO CHAVEZ
Kathmandu, 6 March: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Wednesday lit a lamp at Mandala in the capital to remember President Hugo Chavez.
UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal Wednesday condoled the death of President Hugo Chavez in a message to Vice-president Nicolas Maduro,
‘I am deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing away of President Hugo Chavez in Caracas last evening. On behalf of our party and the people of Nepal, I send my deepest condolences to you, the Chavez family, the government of Venezuela and the Venezuelan people.
“Since 1999, Hugo Chavez brought the revolutionary changes in Venezuela to uplift the working people and the downtrodden class. He was the most prominent socialist revolutionary of Latin America during his time. He not only inspired the entire Latin America in bringing a wave of socialist revolutionary changes, but his movement has also given a moral boost to the Left democratic forces in many countries of the world including Nepal.
“I hope that the people of Venezuela will turn the grief into strength and carry on the ideals of Chavez to make the country peaceful and prosperous and continue to inspire entire Latin America.,” Khanal said in a message.

ELECTION ONLY WAY OUT SAYS GACHHADAR
Kathmandu, 6 March: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar has said the only option to free the country from constitutional and political crisis is fresh elections to the Constituent Assembly, RSS reports from Birgunj.
Addressing a district level cadres' meeting of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic) here on Wednesday, DPM Gachchhadar said political consensus was essential to hold the election.
Also the Chairman of the party, DPM Gachhadar said democracy cannot be institutionalized without electing people's representatives.
The election government would be formed immediately after the agreement on the knotty issues as distribution of citizenship certificates, voters' identity cards, formation of the Commissions on Truth and Reconciliation, and enforced disappearance, and fixation of the ranks to former Maoist fighters who are being integrated to the Nepal Army.
DPM Gachchhadar further said his party was of the position that those born to the citizens by birth should to be entitled to citizenship by descent.
