UPDATE MAOISTS FORM COMMITTEE TO SELECT CANDIDATES FOR ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS Kathmandu, 20 March: UCPN Maoist Wednesday formed a nine-member committed headed by General Secretary Post Bahadur Bogati to select candidates for the June constituent assembly elections. Vice-chairman and former Prime Minister Bavuram Bhattarai heads another nine-member committee to draft the party’s election manifesto. Central committee meet continues Thursday. Maoists, NC and UML claimed they will emerge as the largest party after the second assembly vote.
