UPDATE RUKUM QUAKE CAUSES, NO LOSS OF HUMAN LIVES Kathmandu, 7 March: An earthquake measuring 5.4 in the Richter scale was recorded in Rukum at 10:34 pm on Wednesday night, RSS reports from Dhurkot, Rukum.. The Darmakot area of Salyan and Nuwakot of Rukum was the epicentre of the earthquake that damaged some houses in the area but no human casualty was reported. A house used by Nepal Police next to the Salle airport in Khalanga-2 was damaged, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad Bhatta. Likewise, many houses in Nuwakot, Kholghaon and Purtimakada of Salyan have suffered cracks as a result of the tremor . The tremor was felt in neighboring districts Salyan, Jajarkot, Dang, Rolpa and Gulmi district too. nnnn
