Kathmandu, 26 April: Senior leader of CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the four-party syndicate should be removed in order to ensure the CA elections as per schedule, RSS reports..
Talking to media persons at a programme held at Indrayani VDC of Kathmandu today, Nepal said the four partys' monopoly should be put to an end to bring the agitating smaller parties into the electoral process.
He also said that the UML would work to bring the agitating parties, including the CPN-Maoist into confidence for the upcoming elections to the Constituent Assembly.
The former Prime Minister said that his party was against the proposal made in relation to the proportional election by the Election Commission and added that even the parties winning one percent of the votes should be recognized.
Nepal also claimed that the UML would win a majority in the upcoming elections, and an alliance with the federal democratic parties would ensure a two-third majority.
