GOLD PRICE STAGES FURTHER RECOVERY Kathmandu, 26 April: Gold price staged further recovery in the local bullion market as its price increased in the international market Friday. Gold was traded Friday at Rs.53,000 per tola after gaining Rs.1,000 per tola compared to the previous day. nnnn RESIDENT BRITISH AMBASSADOR ASUMES OFFICE BY PRESENDING CREDENTIALS TO PRESIDENT Kathmandu, 26 April: - President Ram Baran Yadav received the Letters of Credence presented by ambassadors of the United Kingdom, Sweden, Republic of Tunisia and the Federal Republic of Nigeria today [Friday], RSS reports. At a special programme organised at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas, ambassadors Andrew James Sparkes, Harald Sandberg, Tarek Azouz and Ndubuisi Vitus Amaku presented their letters of credence to President Yadav. Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Sparkes is residential ambassador for Nepal and the other three ambassadors reside in New Delhi of India. Also present on the occasion were Minister for Foreign Affairs Madhav Prasad Ghimire, Chief of Army Staff Gaurav Shumsher JB Rana, Officiating Foreign Secretary, Arjun Bahadur Thapa, and senior officials of the Office of the President and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. nnnn ARMY CHIEF, NIGERIAN AMBASSADOR TALKS Kathmandu, 25 April: Non-resident Nigerian Ambassador Ndubuisi Victus Amaku held a rare discussions with Army Chief General Gaurav Shumsher Rana at the Nepal Army headquarters Friday. They discussed the bilateral ties, Directorate of Public Relations said. Three Nigerian official cadets are undergoing training at the Nepal Army Academy. nnnn
