CHIEF REGMI, PRACHANDA MEET Kathmandu, 13 April: One day after a decision of the high-powered political committee decision of three parties of Madeshi front, its chairman Maoist Phief Prachanda asked government chief Khil Regmo Saturday to call second constituent assembly elections in November end. Prachanda also informed Regmi. who has been asked to hold elections, Also briefed Regmi on the dissolution if the special committee on the Maoist integration special committee. The Maoist chief as briefed Regmi on his China visit beginning Sunday. The chairman is being accompanied by wife Sita Devii ,nnnn. 33 PARTIES PRESENT THEIR VIEWS Kathmandu. 13 April: The agitating 33 political parties, including the CPN-Maoist, held an interaction with the civil society representatives on Saturday, RSS reports.. At the interaction held in the Capital this afternoon, the civil society representatives said the formation of present government was unconstitutional and the decision of the four parties could not be regarded as the political decision. Former speaker Daman Nath Dhungana said it was worrying that the persons without any role for changes in the country were given government responsibility. "Chief Justice is used to ridicule the law," he argued. Journalist Kanak Mani Dixit said present government can't hold election but would stick to power. Similarly, historian Dr Ramesh Dhungel said nationality at present was at the ricketiest moment of Nepal's history. The trend of meeting any senior personality by the ambassadors at any time needs to be stopped, he stressed. Chairman of the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities, Raj Kumar Lekhi, said the country has already headed to party-less system. He added that this government would breach every right of the citizens. Chairman of the Janamorcha Nepal Sadhya Bahadur Bhandari said it was traitorous to provide citizenship certificates by descent to the children of those having citizenship by birth. He demanded that the citizenship by birth needs to be investigated. After the suggestions from the civil society members, CPN-Maoist Vice-Chairman CP Gajurel said recent four-party agreement was in need of correction, and the Maoist party would force to correct it through the protest. He made it clear that his party would not participate in the election to be held by this government. However, the party would join the government formed under the political person. Political analyst Dr Surendra KC, water resource expert Ratna Sansar Shrestha, professor Om Gurung and others said the four-party syndicate had no legitimate stand. Nnnn FIRE IN EVEREST DISTRICT Katthmandu, 13 April: A fire that broke out in Yapel Community Forest on Thursday at Taksindu VDC-2 of Solukhumbu district has not been brought into control till Saturday afternoon, RSS reportsfro Solokhumbu.. Consumers' group secretary of community forest Sonam Sherpa said the relentless efforts of locals and police turned futile. Sherpa said a large part of the forest was destroyed so far and the fire was taking a worse form. Similarly, police said the fire has spread in 20 kilometers area. The community forest has urged one and all to put off the forest saying that more human resources were needed for the same. Nnnn KERRY TELLS CHINA NORTH KOREA CHALLENGING BEIJING: U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry told Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday that tensions on the Korean peninsula were one of the challenging issues he would be discussing with Xi, Reuters writes from Beijing.. "Mr. President, this is obviously a critical time with some very challenging issues - issues on the Korean peninsula, the challenge of Iran and nuclear weapons, Syria and the Middle East, and economies around the world that are in need of a boost," Kerry told Xi at the Great Hall of the People. mmmm
