HLPC DECISION TO END PEACE PROCESS UPDATE

A meeting of the HLPC held at the Secretariat of the Army Integration Special Committee decided to end the works relating to the ongoing peace process as the task of army integration, a major part after the joining of the former rebel party CPN (Maoist) in the peace politics.
A meeting of the Army Integration Special Committee would be held today itself and some remaining issues would be finalized, UML leader KP Sharma Oli told reporters after the meeting of the HLPC.
UCPN (Maoist) Vice-chairman and former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai would chair the meeting of the Army Integration Special Committee and would wrap up the ongoing peace process.
Oli said the Interim Election Council of Ministers would be urged to implement the decisions taken by the meeting chaired by Dr Bhattarai.
Similarly, the HLPC has entrusted the meeting of the Army Integration Special Committee to approve and finalize a report prepared by Coordinator of the Secretariat of the Army Integration Special Committee, Balananda Sharma.
Likewise, the HLPC headed by UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ´Prachanda´ also urged the government to immediately announce the polls date.Leader Oli said that almost all leaders have agreed that elections should be conducted in November if it were unlikely in June.
