LIGHTNING KILLS TWO, INJURES 15 IN DOTI Kathmandu, 21 April: - Three people were killed after being struck by thunderbolt in Doti and Kailali district on Saturday night, RSS reports from Dhangadi. . Tika Devi Chaudhary, 26, lost her life due to lightning that struck the house of Sosuram Chaudhary at Bauniya VDC-2, Kailali last night, confirmed the Kailali police. Sosuram and his 13-year-old son, who lost consciousness after the incident, are undergoing treatment in a local health clinic. Both are said to be in normal condition. Likewise, Tarasi Malla, 60, and Ramkali Dangi, 55, lost their lives after falling prey to another lightning incident in Ghanteswor VDC-3, Ghoradi village in the western belt of Doti. Malla and Dangi, who were critically injured and fell unconscious, breathed their last while on the way to hospital. Other 15 injured in the incident are being treated in a nearby hospital in the district. RSS Nnnn NC CLEAR ON FEDERATION CLAIMS DEUBA Kathmandu, 21 Apri1: Former Prime Minister and senior leader of the Nepali Congress (NC), Sher Bahadur Deuba, has said that the NC is clear on the issue of federalism, RSS reports from Janakpurdham. At an interaction organised by the Sambad Samuha, Janakpur, here on Sunday, Deuba said, however, the discussion about the number of provinces was yet to be held.Responding to a query, he claimed that the NC will win in 70-75 seats in the next CA from Madhes. Stating that resolving problems by bringing armed groups to talks before election was the responsibility of the government, the former Prime Minister said that such groups should come to talks by discarding arms and the election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) should be made a success. Deuba said a national consensus government has been already formed to hold election and holding election within mid-December is the responsibility of the incumbent government. At the programme chaired by Bijay Lal, Central member of NC, Bimalendra Nidhi, said that the CA was dissolved while preparation was underway for approval of the bill on the Rajarshee University. nnnn
