LOKMAN SINGH KARKI APPOINTMENT AS CIAA CHAIRMAN FIGURES IN SUPREME COURT HEARING Kathmandu, 28 April: The supreme court Sunday resumes hearing on the appointment of former Chief Secretary Lokman Singh Karki as CIAA chairman on the recommendation of government and Maoists in a high-powered political committee of four parties and a Madeshi alliance. All members of the body originally supported the Maoist proposal to appoint Karki now accused by parties for excesses during a movement during the royal regime seven years ago.
