MAOIST MAHARA BLAMES GOVT. FOR DELAY IN ELECTION ANNOUNCEMENT Kathmandu, 20 April: Unified CPN (Maoist) leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said that the incumbent government was to blame for the delay in the announcement of the Constituent Assembly (CA) polls date, RSS reports from Chitwan. Mahara asked the government to announce the CA polls date as early as possible, adding that uncertainty was increasing due to delay in the announcement of polls date. Talking to media persons at Bharatpur Airport on Saturday, the former deputy prime minister said that doubts, uncertainty and problems at the political level were on the rise because of delay in polls date announcement. He also alleged the current government of attempting to prolong its stay in power by not announcing the polls date though the government was formed with the mandate to holding polls in June.
