NC CONVENES MEETING OF CENTRAL WORKING COMMITTEE
Kathmandu, 1 April: NC s has convened a meeting of its
central working committee Wednesday as second constituent assembly
elections planned for June is unlikely to be held before winter.
The party is seeking an alliance with democratic parties for the vote.
while demanding resignation of government chief Khil Raj Regmi as
chief justice.
More than 23 members are demanding the resignation.
The committee meets ahead of a Mahasamii meeting as well.

NEARLY THREE DOZEN PARTIES OPPOSE VOTE AND GOVT.
Kathmandu, 1 April: Thirty-three parties are holding anti-government and anti-election rallies nation-wide Monday one day after the opposition parties said they
will hold discussions only with President Dr.. Ram Baan Yadav on
their opposition.
The parties are also submitting a memorandum to election officials with
their signatures opposing the government and the vote.
