ELECTION OFFICIALS
Kathmandu, 16 April: A single bench of supreme court Justice Girish Chandra Lal Tuesday sought clarification in 15days from the Office of the President
over reappointment of retired officials at the Election Commission of Nepal following a hearing..
Pravin Kumar Lavh and Hareram Shah 25 March challenged the
appointment. semanding the nominations of a chief election and rwo commissioners be overturned.
The appointment of Chief Commissioner Neelkantha Upreti, and
commissioners Dolakh Bahadur Gurung and Awadhi Prasad Shah was against the Article 128 (3) and (7) of the Interim Constitution.
Ila Sharma was appointed for the first tome.
President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav appointed Upreti the Chief Election Commissioner and four other commissioners on the recommendation of the Constitutional Council.

SEVEN INJURED IN VEHICLE ACCIDENT
Kathmandu, 16 April: Seven people were injured Tuesday, two seriosulym
in a jeep accident on the Siddhicharan highway in Udpaypur district on Tuesday.
The jeep heading for Katari from Ghurmi
met with an accident at Huptar of Sorungchhabise-7.
The jeep lfell some 100 meters off the road.

AIDE OF MEDICAL DIRECTOR OF MEDICAL COLLEGE SHOT
AND INJURED IN JANAKPUR
Janaki Medical College proprietor Ashok Sinha at Basahiya road in Janakpur-4 on Kthmandu, 16 April: Upendra Ojha was injured in a shooting incident at the residence of
Ashok Sinha, a director of Janaki Medical College in Dhanudha Tuesday.
An identified group shot Ojha in Janakpur where a bomb was
detonated in the college bus and hostel.
