SHERATON RETURNING TO NEPAL WITH SHESH GHALE
Kathmandu, 9 April:: Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc, and
MIT Group Holdings Nepal, led by Shesh Ghale, a Non-Resident Nepali,
have signed n agreement to launch a five-star hotel at Kantipath in the
Nepalese capital.
The Rs 7 billion Sheraton Kathmandu Hotel, owned by MIT Group Holdings Nepal and
managed by Starwood, will open 1 February 2018.
The hotel will have 225 rooms on an area covering 1,539 square metres.
“All amenities in the hotel will have signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper,”
said Starwood.
Ghale, a successful entrepreneur based in Australia, is the 166th richest person in the continent.
Starwood currently operates 34 hotels and resorts worldwide
and about 24 new hotels and resorts are under construction.
The Sheraton brand was earlier associated with Everest Hotel.
