SUPREME COURT STOPS SALE OF NEPAL EMBASSY IN LONDON
Kathmandu, 15 April: A single bench of acting supreme court Chief Justice Damodar Sharma issued an interim order Monday directing government not to put up the Nepali embasy in London up for sale.
The bench issued a stay order and sought clarification following preliminary hearing on two writs pressing to stop the sale.
The embassy is crown property leased to Nepal as low cost for help Nepal provided Great Britain during the First World War.
The badly maintained embassy is located in prime area of London where the rich and famous live, including several royals.

INTEGRATED SECURITY PLAN FOR VOTE
Kathmandu, 15 April: The Ministry of Home Affairs has developed an integrated election security plan for the upcoming elections to the Constituent Assembly, RSS reports.
Accordingly, the Ministry has directed every district to developed their own district security plan as per the integrated plan.
Speaking at the regular press meet held at the Ministry of Information and Communications here on Monday, Home Ministry Spokesperson Shanker Koirala said the plan includes the proportion of security personnel to be mobilized based on the number of polling centres and voters, with a separate provision for districts identified as 'sensitive'.
Meanwhile, the Ministry is to initiate the citizenship distribution campaign from this week.
A total of 305 mobile teams and another 561 teams would be deputed in all the districts to carry out the citizenship distribution work, said Koirala.

JUDO TEAM LEAVES FOR BANGKOK
Kathmandu, 15 April: A Nepali team of judo players' has left for Bangkok of Thailand to participate in the Asian Senior Judo Tournament to be held from April 19 to 21, RSS reports..
The team comprising four members including two players has left for Bangkok. Saroj Maharjan is competing in the 60 kg men's category while Lila Adhikari will compete in the 48 kg category.
Wishing for their success, Member Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC), Yubraj Lama, saw off the team. Rajan Karmacharya is the team manager and Ganga Bahadur Dangol is coach of the team.
Similarly, Rajan Karmacharya, central member of the Nepal Judo Association is to participate in a meeting of the Working Committee of the Judo Union of Asia to be held from April 17.
According to General Secretary of the Association, Ramesh Maharjan, the players are selected on the basis of their performance in the Fifth Lokendra Memorial National Judo Competition held recently in Saptari and Fourth Ambika Memorial Open Weight Judo Competition held in Kathmandu.
