Kathmandu, 6 April: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sushil Koirala on Saturday said that the forthcoming Mahasamiti meeting of the party would resolve the differences of views in the party, RSS reports from Chitwan..
Talking to the leading cadres of the party in Chitwan today, he claimed most of the party disputes were settled and the Mahasamiti meeting would end remaining too.
NC has decided to hold Mahasamiti from April 8 to 11 in Nawalparasi district.
Mahasamiti is the second largest body of the party after its national general convention.
President Koirala also directed the party cadres to unite for the election.
He urged the cadres to return to the villages and create environment for election to gain majority votes in the coming election.
Similarly, Koirala argued that institutionalisation of democracy was not possible if the NC does not achieve majority in the elections.
Koirala also said that the government and the political parties should create environment for the CA polls.
On the occasion, he also urged the agitating fringe parties not to disturb the election process.
He stressed the need for declaring the date for the CA elections and move ahead in the election process by forging consensus among the political parties.
