TAPLEJUNG INJURED AIRLIFTED TO CAPITAL FOR TREATMENT UPDATE Kathmandy, 10 April: Seriously injured pilgrims from the capital, including women, were airlifted to the capital by Nepal Army helicopter from Taplejung for further treatment Wednesday. A tractor which they had contracted fell off a road while returning from Pathivara temple in the eastern hill district overnight.. Twenty injured were flown home and hospital. Fresh reports said five pilgrims were killed and 18 were injured when the tractor fell 300 meters off the road at Tiringe while returning to district headquarter. The dead have been identified asbout 300 meters down the hilly road at Tiringe.t. Among the dead are Ishwori Thapa , Deepa Dawadi , Maiya Budathoki, Ranu Maharjan Gita Thapa,. The pilgrims had traveled to Taplejng by bus. Nnnn LEOPARD SHOT DEAD IN CITY OUTSKIRT Kathmandu, 10 April: A leopard attacked and injured six people and a policeman around the Pashupatinath temple and TIA at Gothetar Wednesday morning. The leopard strayed into the city’s outskirt from neighbouring forest . Spreading forest cover in hills around the Valley have forced wildlife out of forests and int0o the city regularly. Police shot dead the cat. nnnn
