UML POLITBURO MEETS GETS UNDERWAY Kathmandu, 8 April: A politburo meeting of the UML began Monday to prepare an agenda for the central committee meet. The meeting is focusing on the second constituent assembly elections for which firm dates haven’t been announced. The central committee meets 15 April: Secretary Yubaran Geywali said strategy for elections, current politics, party organization and reinforcement, appointments to central committee and distributing responsibilities to top leaders will also be discussed. Strong differences have broken out on the appointment of former Chief Secretary Lokman Sigh as CIAA chairman. nnnn
