UPDATE ON PALPA JEEP ACCIDENT t Kathmandu, 23 April Four persons died in the Palpa jeep accident Tuesday, fresh reports said. Lata Bista, 35 and her daughter died on the spot. Director of Kish Bank Gyan Bahadur GC and Ram Bahadur GC died while undergoing treatment at Tansen Mission Hospital Six persons were injured. The jeep veered off the road while avoiding a buffalo calf. Nnnn RANSOM RECOVERED Kathmandu, 23 April: The Mahottari Police have seized ransom amount taken from the family of one Pankaj Yadav of Sundarpur VDC-1 who was murdered after abduction, RSS reports from Mohottari. . The 25-year-old Yadav was kidnapped on March 17 from Mahendranagar of Dhanusha and his body was found buried near the Rato Khola of Anakar-4 in the district on March 31. The kidnappers charged one million rupees from the family of Yadav, promising his safe release, but Yadav's body was found buried. The police arrested one Krishna Purbe of Mahendranagar-2 on the charge of his involvement in the abduction and murder of Yadav two days ago. He was arrested from Bardibas. Acting upon his statement, the police seized Rs. 440,000 from a cowshed belonging to his aunt Bhutti Devi Mahato, also the accused of the abduction , Inspector of Police Jayshree Raj Kunwar said. The amount has been given back to the Yadav family and the accused has been kept under the police investigation. Prior to this, Kusheshwor Thakur of Bharatpur-3, Dhanusha and Ganesh Kumar Singh of Arnama-9 of Siraha were arrested on the same charge.
