37 PARTIES REGISTER FOR ELECTIONS Kathmandu, 23 May: Thirty-seven parties—31 old and six new – have registered at the election commission so far for the second constituent assembly elections. Parties have to submit at least 10,000 signatures for the registration. Parties have to register by 29 May. Nnnn SONS OF RPP LEADERS ELECTED Kathmandu, 23 May: Jayant Chand, son of former Prime Minister LOkendra Bahadur Chand, has been elected as central committee member of RPP followed by Sunil Thapa, son of Surya Bahadur Thapa who was elected [arty chairman after unification between RPP and RJP. Suman Mehar Shrestha, son of Jog Meher Shrestha, and widow of Rabindra Nath Sharma, were also elected. Minister of the royal regime Bhuban Pathak has also been voted committee member. Elections were held for 83 seats. Complete results are yet to be received/ Party president also nominates 30 members.
