DUBAHI TENSE MONDAY AS WELL Kathmandu, 27 May: Duhabi Bazaar in Sunsari district has remained tense from early morning Monday due to police interference to the locals who had staged protests yesterday demanding action against the murderer of a local woman, RSS teports fro Biratnagar.. The locals came out to the streets calling for action against the murderers of Radha Kumara Kamat, a local who was murdered 25 days ago. Police resorted to lathicharge and lobbed tear gas shells to bring the crowd under control after the protestors vandalized vehicles including ambulances. Bijaya Chaudhary, 25, and Jalil Rain, 55, of Duhabi-8 had sustained serious bullet injuries in the police firing on Sunday. Rain has returned home after receiving treatment at the Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital while Chaudhary has been sent to Siliguri, India, for further treatment from the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences. Security situation has been beefed up after the demonstrations. However, the agitating locals are learnt to have postponed the protests after the administration´s call for talks.It is said that Kamat was murdered by local Irphan Miya and her lover Sabnam Khatun. nnnn KIDNEY TRAFFICKEKEERS SENTENCED TO JUDICIAL CUSTODYCO Kathmandu, 27 May: Five members of a gang charged for kidney trafficking were remanded to judicial custody Monday by Kavre district court . A single bench of Justice Ramesh Khatri sentenced the five until the final verdict. Krishna Bahadur Dargi of Nuwakot, his wife Mina Darji, Sachin and Sanulal Maharjan of Lalitpur and Kumar Adhikari of Tanahun were sentenced. They face possible two to five years imprisonment if convicted. nnnn .
