Kathmandu, 27 May: Supreme court Monday finally issued a show-cause notice
against the approval of the ordinance on removing constitutional
difficulties.
President Dr. Ram Baran yadav removed the onstacles on recommendation of then Baburam Bhattarai government in a virtual amendment of the interim
constitutional in the absence of parliament which amends basic law with two-third parliamentary majority.
.A single bench of Justice Girish Chandra Lal issued the notice
Advocate Subhas Acharya challenged the move that led to the appointment of the Khil Raj Regmi government.
Advocate Acharya had filed the petition 18 March and hearing was postponed 10 times.

ABDUCTORS ARRESTED IN BANKE
Kathmandu, 27 May: Police have arrested five abductors involved in kidnapping one Mahendra Shahi, 28, of Nepalgunj-1, on Monday.
According to DSP Prem Basnet, those arrested are Imabul Manihar, Rajendra Kandu, Ram Kumar Kandu, Peda Ram Kandu of Banke, and an Indian citizen Ishrad Khan.
Shahi was abducted from Rupaidiha, an Indian market, in April 13.
Police rescued Shahi with the help of Indian police on May 24.
