LOKENDRA BAHADUR CHAND, RAJESHWOR DEVKOTA FORMING NEW PARTY DISAGREEING WITH RPP’S REPUBLICAN AGENDA Kathmandu, 7 May: Former Prime Minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand and Rajeshwor Devkota are forming a separate amid differences with RPP and Rashtriya Janashakti Party (RJP) meeting 17 May to launch a united party .with a republican agenda. They agreed to ask government to create an environment for constituent assembly elections. nnnn TWO MOTORCYCLISTS KILLED IN NAWALPARASI Kathmandu, 8 May: Two motorcyclists were killed in a collision with an unidentified vehicle overnight at Chainpur in Nawalparasi overnight. Cakuram Chaudhary and Krishana Chaudhary.were killed, police said. Nnnn 25 PARTIES REGISTERED WITH ELECTION COMMISSION Kathmandu, 7 May: Twenty-0five parties have registered with the election commission for constituent assembly elections ntil Tuesday, election officials said. Parties already registered for previous elections have to re-apply with every vote even though they will get the same election symbol. Nnnn CURFEW IN BAJURA WITHDRAWN Kathmandu, 8 May: A curfew in Bajura district headquarter was withdrawn three hours after it was slapped at three in the afternoon Tuesday for 15 hours. Parties called off their three-day agitation after government assurance development programmes will be implemented, including construction of a bailey bridge over Budi Gandaki. The curfew was slapped following widespread violence in which 13 persons were injured and protestors vandalized government buildings. Police resorted tofiri8ngs and loved teargas shells to quell riots. nnnn.
