PRACHANDA SUSHIL KOIRALA DISCUSSIONS Kathmandu, 3 May: Maoist Chairman Prachanda and NC President Sushuil Koirala held discussions on current issues, including constituent assembly elections and other national issues Friday. They considered requesting government to fix firm date for the second constituent assembly vote. Prachada briefed Koirala on his just concluded India visit when the Maoist chief held discussion in New Delhi with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Nnnn 33 PARTIES PROTEST BEFORE ELECTION COMMISSION AGAINST VOTE Kathmandu, 3 May: Thirty-three parties, including CPN Maoist, Friday held demonstrations before the election commission protesting commission preparations for a constituent assembly election November/December, The parties are already disrupting government and commission campaign to issue citizenship certificates and updating a voters list simultaneously.. The CPN Maoist said it won’t register for elections and will oppose the vote and disrupt the election. The opposition parties oppose both the government and the vote. nnnn
