Kathmandu, 26 May : General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, Prakashman Singh, has said that an election government led by Khil Raj Regmi should move
ahead as per the four-party consensus, RSS reeeeeports from Kangchenpur..
Singh expressed the view at a news conference organised by the Nepal Press Union, Kanchanpur, at Mahendranagar, on Sunday.
He said the Regmi-led government was formed by four political parties to hold election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) and the government should create an election environment as per the direction of the four parties.
Singh blamed that constitutional crisis was invited due to the parties, which had joined the Bhattarai-led government.
The NC General Secretary stressed that a written constitution should be brought by holding CA election at the earliest.
Stating CA election should be held for the establishment of political stability and peace, Singh said there was no dispute in his party and it would move ahead united in the CA election.
He suggested an environment should be created for the participation of the agitating 33-political parties in the election through the medium of high-level discussions.

KAMAL THAPA ALSO DEMANDS EARLY ELECTION
Kathmandu, 26 May:: Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)-Nepal, Kamal Thapa, has said it has been necessary to declare the date for Constituent Assembly elections at the earliest as far as possible, RSS reports..
Addressing the mass meeting organized by the Rastriya Prajatantrik Students´ Association close to the RPP-Nepal at Nepal Law Campus in the capital today, he said there was no alternative to election to settle the existing political crisis and that holding the election at the earliest would be in the interest of the country and its people.
Chairman Thapa said the inaction, short sightedness, conceding activities of the big political parties has led the nation and nationalism to crisis.
He said, "The nationality of the country has been weakened as the senior leadership of some political parties have made statement public to hold referendum regarding the border issue, not to refute it by the party concerned, and other parties to keep silence on this issue.
" All students and nationalist forces should be alert in such issues, he added. He was for scrapping the four-party political mechanism immediately as all political parties deserve same status until the election was held and its result was declared.
Similarly, RPP-Nepal leader Bishnu Bhattarai said the government has failed to maintain law and order and peace in the country, claiming that his party had always worked for the sake of the country and its people.
Due to the same reason, the RPP-Nepal would be established as a powerful political force in the upcoming CA election.
Chairman of the Association, Rajaram Bartaula, claimed that it would give candidacies from 93 campuses of 48 districts in the upcoming Free Students´ Union election.
