PROTESTS CONTINUE IN SAPTARI AGAINST MURDER OF FORMER LAWMAKER Kathmandu, 23 May: Nine demands have been presented by supporters of Sadrul Haq before the slain independent for lawmaker’s burial in Saptari Protests continued in the central terai district Thursday as will with closure of markets and road blockages. They demanded the home minister’s personal presence in the district before for former lawmaker’s burial. He was murdered Monday night by unknown persons. Haq’s supporters demanded security, a commission should be formed to investigate the murder and the former lawmaker should be declared a martyr. The body of slain independent lawmaker Haq has been accepted by the Family that hails from Kalayanpur. . A body in a vehicle drove through towns ad villages of Saptari and Siraha Wednesday from Dharan where where a postmortem was conducted at a hospital in the hill town. The family and supporters refused to bury the body until the home minister presents himself personally in the district. A three-member investigation headed by a senior police started a probe Wednesday to complete its report in one week. No arrests have been made so far. A shirt, slippers and a murder weapon probably used by the suspected murderer have been recovered from a bamboo grove near the site of the murder.  a petrol pump belonging to Haq.  nnnn
