SHUTDOWN HITS MORANG AS WELL Kathmandu, 23 May:: The National Muslim Struggle Committee, Morang has enforced a general shutdown here today, calling for the immediate arrest of the culprits behind former Constituent Assembly (CA) member Sadrul Miyan Haque's Killing, RSS reports from Biratnagar.. The committee said that the bandh (shutdown) has been announced out of anger over the police administration not doing enough to track down Haque's murderers even three days after his gruesome killing. The market, factories, schools and colleges and transport are closed, at the committee's call. Life in town has been paralyzed due to the bandh. A torch rally was held in Biratnagar on Wednesday calling for making the bandh successful. All Nepal Petroleum Workers' Association announced the closure of Mechi Zone based petrol pumps after the Association and the petroleum dealers failed to reach an agreement regarding issuing the appointment letters to the workers. All the pumps will be closed until and unless the demands were addressed, said Dipak Baral, Coordinator at the Association. The members of the marijuana cartel abandoned the contraband and ran away towards the jungle after they saw the police patrol team, said police.
