110 STUDENTS GET PAKISTAN SCHOLARSHIP Kathmandu, 10 June: The Pakistani Embassy based in Nepal has provided scholarships to 110 students of Kathmandu and Chitwan districts. The Embassy provided scholarships amounting to Rs. 10,000 provided to each student, RSS reports.. The scholarship was provided to 90 students of six community higher secondary schools of Kathmandu and 20 students of two community higher secondary schools of Chitwan, who secured highest marks in SLC examination and 10+2 examinations. Handing over the scholarships to students through principals of the concerned schools at a programme organised here on Monday, Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal, Arshad Saud Khosa, said that such help will be continued in the days ahead. He said the initiative, which was started two years ago, will be extended in the days ahead. Ambassador Khosa expressed the commitment that the Government of Pakistan will provide support as far as possible in the education sector as education development is the pillar of nation building. Nnnn EU MISSIONS CONDEMN ATTACK OF DALITS Kathmandu, 10 June: Missions of European Union Monday condemned attack of Rautahan Dalits thia month. “The Missions of the European Union based in Kathmandu together with the Missions of Norway and Switzerland strongly condemn the recent attack on Dalits at Pipariya VDC of Rautahat, in regard to their use of a temple.. “The above-mentioned Missions urge all government agencies and relevant stakeholders to implement the existing legislation and call upon all political parties and civil society to actively raise awareness of this law and promote social inclusion,” the statement of the European missions in Kathmandu said Monday. nnnn
