33 PARTIES OPPOSE ELECTION ANNOUNCEMENT
Kathmandu, 14 June; Thirty-three held protests in the capital Friday
opposing the unilateral announcement of election 19 November by
government.
CPB Maoist Vice-chairman CP Gajurel said thedate was announcedunder foreign pressure and it will be opposed.
He recalled the parties had asked government not to announce election
date unilaterally.
Gajurel said the poll will be disrupted..
He told a meeting Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh one day earlier
had suggested 20 November as a possible date for the vote.
