BIG HASH HAUL Kathmandu, 13 June: Two traffickers were arrested with 158 kgs hashish in Badbhanjyang VDC in the capital’s outskirts this week. The hash hidden in plastic casing was recovered from by drugs enforcement officials from Rajkumar Giri and Kumar Thapa. Giri and Thapa transported the dug from Makwanpur in a truck. nnnn INDEFINITE BANDH IN SANKHUWASABHA Kathmandu, 13 June : Different five fringe political parties including CPN- Maoist have called Sankhuwasabha banda (strike) for an indefinite period demanding stopping of transfer of employees of the District Hospital, Khandbari, RSS reports from Sankhuwasabha.. A press release issued by District In-charge of the CPN-Maoist, Chhatra Bahadur Adhikary, on behalf of the fringe parties, stated that they have been compelled to organise the district banda for an indefinite period after police opened the lock out carried out by them at the District Hospital demanding stopping of transfer of employees. The parties said that they will continue the district banda until the decision of transfer of the employees was withdrawn. Long-route and short-route transport to and from Khandbari have been completely closed due to the indefinite district banda, said Kedar Khadka, an employee at the Transport Entrepreneurs´ Association. Hundreds of passengers have been stranded and all the offices and educational institutions have remained closed in the district due to the banda, said the District Police Office. nnnn
