COMMITTEE FORMED TO PROBE PRODUCTION AND SALE OF TAINTED MILK BY VALLEY DAIRIES Kathmandu, 28 June: A 11-member committee headed by Joint Secretary Prabhakar Pathak at the agriculture ministry has been formed to probe unhygienic mill being produced and marketed by dairies, in the capital, including Dairy Development Corporation owned by government. A report has to be submitted by 16 August. While sale of milk and milk products has dropped drastically, farmers are Complaining of heavy losses unable to market their milk. Cases are being filed against dairies for marketing tainted milk.
