DAUGHER SUSPECTED IN MURDER OF FORMER LAWMAKER, ARRESTED
Kathmandu, 7 June Police arrested two persons including former lawmaker Sadrul Miya Haque´s daughter in connection with the murder case of Haque, RSS reports from Rajbirj.
A special team of the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police arrested Rabeda Khatun, 22, daughter of the late Haque and Abdul Raukha, 40, of Lahan Municipality Ward No. 5 in connection with the murder case and that investigation on them has been forwarded, said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Bhog Bahadur Thapa.
Rabeda´s lover Jameer Ul, popularly known as Maulavi of Lahan Municipality Ward No. 5, who is charged of the murder case is absconding.
According to another police official involved in the investigation, Jameer and Rabeda murdered Haque after he refused their marriage. Rabeda´s mother, however, is reported to have accepted her daughter´s relation with Jameer, it is discovered from the preliminary investigation.
Although the two accused have been arrested, main mastermind Jameer and others could not be arrested as they fled to India, police said.
However, the police have been successful in identifying them on the basis of former lawmaker Haque´s mobile.
As against suspected of either political or professional enmity, his daughter is found involved, said police.
The former lawmaker of Kalyanpur 2 in Saptari was found dead at Huma Oil Traders at Khojpur Vdc- 7.
The body was found as he did not return even next morning after he had gone to sleep at the Petrol Pump at 10:00 pm after returning from a wedding ceremony of neighbor´s daughter on May 20.
The Central Investigation Buro had directed not to inform about the arrested unless all are under police control.
However, after Haque´s daughter was arrested, it was rumored from the family, and the two were made public from the Zonal Police Office. The police are to further investigate by filing a case today[Friday]..
