DEUBA HOLDS DISCUSSIONS WITH SONIA GANDHI UPDATE Kathmandu, 10 June: Former Prime Minister and NC leader Sher Bahadur Deuba in a 30-minute meeting discussed elections and constitution drafting Monday with Sonia Gandhi, Kantipur TV said quoting its New Delhi correspondent. Deuba met her but Maoist Chairman Prachanda didn’t during a similar India visit at the invitation of the Indian government, probably indicating the government and the party aren’t still happy with Maoists. New Delhi has been giving priority to relations and not the government of retired top civil servants. New delhi has invited other party leaders for talks ahead of proposed constituent polls.
