FIVE INJURED IN CLASH
KANCHANPUR: Five former Kamlari or bonded girl labourers were injured when they clashed with police in course of the demonstration at Suda of
Kanchanpur on Wednesday, RSS reports from Kanchanpur..
The clash reportedly ensued after the agitating former Kamlaris pelted stones at vehicles along the East-West Highway.
Of the injured, 14-year-old Batasu Rana sustained injuries to her eyes after being lathicharged by police. She is undergoing treatment at Mahakali Zonal Hospital.
The former Kamlaris have taken to the streets in Kathmandu and various parts of the western region calling for action against the alleged murder of Srijana Chaudhary and Meghi Chaudhary of Dang, compensation to the victim families and end to the exploitation of the former bonded labourers.

FOREIGN FORCES DELAY POLL SAYS BHAKTAPUR COMMUNIST LEADER
Kathmandu, 5 June:: Chairman of the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP), Narayanman Bijukchhe, has said the government failed to declare the date for the Constituent Assembly (CA) election due to external forces, RSS reports from Bhaktapur..
Speaking at an interaction in Bhaktapur, today, he claimed that the government and the four major political parties failed to declare the date for CA election as the external forces put obstacles in declaring the date of election for the time being.
Chairman Bijukchhe said, "The government will declare the election acting as four-party agreement when the time becomes favorable for the external forces."
He said the CA election was not possible if one percent threshold of vote was implemented. He added that, "Only a limited number of political parties would represent in the CA if the threshold of vote was implemented and they will have no existence in another election."
Bijukchhe said, "The former CA could not write the constitution due to the Unified CPN (Maoist) and the next election will not be held due to the major political parties that are mobilized by external forces."
He was for making not more than 100 lawmakers in the next CA, saying that many members would not work, but would just draw salaries.
