FURTHER GOVT.CLAIMS ON ITS ACHIEVEMENTS Kathmandu, 23 June:: The government has said it has created atmosphere conducive for election to the Constituent Assembly by formulating electoral laws, announcing election date and forming the constituency delimitation commission, RSS reports.. Government Spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communications, Madhav Prasad Poudel, said this at a press conference organized to inform about government´s activities and achievements in 100 days of its formation. Reminding that the government was formed in special circumstances with sole aim of holding the CA election, Spokesperson Poudel, however, said despite some achievements on good governance and efforts made to clear political impasse, government was not fully content with what it has done so far. "The task of the present government is to hold elections as soon as possible, and so far important achievements have been made in the field of good governance and giving way to the political deadlock", Minister Poudel said. The present government led by Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi was formed on March 14, 2013 as per the 11-point agreement reached between the four major political forces—the UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and the United Democratic Madhesi Front. Constituted during a special circumstance of the country, the major responsibility of the government is to hold elections to the Constituent Assembly. The CA elections have been scheduled to be held on coming November 14. Nnnn
