GUN BATTLE BETWEEN FOREST GUARDS AND TIMBER SMUGGLERS Kathmandu, 16 June; Forest guards and timber smugglers fought a gun battle on ther Rautahat and Sarlahi border early Sunday. Nobody was injured. Guards recovered some timber and bullock carts. Nnnn MORANG ACCIDENT INJURS SIX Kathmandu, 16 June: As many as six persons were injured in a road accident at Sanishchare of Morang district along the East-West Highway on Sunday, RSS reports RSS from Biratnagar.. Five persons and a truck driver sustained injuries when the two trucks (Na 4 Kha 3599 and Ko 1 Kha 2979) collided with each other along the highway at Sanishchare, According to District Police Office, Morang. All the injured are undergoing treatment at Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences. The injured people have not been identified yet. Police have been searching for the absconding truck driver, said police. Nnnn CA ELECTION WIHIN DEADLINE SAYS GAHCHJADAR Kathmandu, 16 June:” Coordinator of the High Level Political Committee (HLPC) and the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic), Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, has said the Constituent Assembly (CA) election will be held in the same date declared by the government, RSS reports from Biratnagar.. Talking to journalists at Biratnagar Airport on Sunday, he said no doubt should be expressed rather one and all should work to create environment to hold the CA election in the slated time. Gachchhadar said the HLPC was a constitutional arrangement and that demanding the scrapping of the committee is to push the nation towards further uncertainty. He said the constituencies could be increased to balance the population ratio in each of them and the Constituency Delineation Commission would work in this regard. The HLPC Chairman urged the agitating parties to participate in the election process instead of spending time in disrupting the election process for it was the present need in the nation. nnnn
