INDIA DENIES CHARGE THROUGH EMBASSY
Kathmandu, 21 June: India through its embassy in Kathmandu Friday
denied charges the erosion along the common Mahakali river in the far-West was caused by release of water after unilaterally opening flood gates of
Dhauliganga Dam on the Indian side.
Chairman Regmi said he would take up thecharge with the Indian
government while UCPN Maoist and NC urged the issue
be taken up diplomatically with New Delhi.
The embassy said the flood on the border river was monsoon related.
