PRESIDENT REURNS HOME FRIDAY IPDATE Kathmandu, 26Jne: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav teturns home Friday. He is boarding a flight of Thai Airways from Tokyo and returning ome viaBangkok. Dr. Yadav was discharged from a Tokyo hospital Wednesday after he was given a clean bill of health. He was flown to Japan and admitted to hospital last Wednesday for investigation. Government medical board suggested investigation of the head of state’s large intestine. nnnn TAPLEJUNG FLOOD DEATH Kathmandu, 26 June: Kali Bahadur Sherpa, 52, was swept away by Oirakhu Khola in Taplejung Wednesday. Sherpa hailed from Sawadin VDC-7. Nnnn STRIKE CONTINUES IN NUWAKOT Kathmandu, 26 June:: Nuwakot district woke up to a second day of general strike on Wednesday morninm RSS reportg from Nuwakot.. The people of Bidur Municipality Ward No. 6 have called a district-wide banda or general strike since Tuesday in protest against the government´s move to settle the landslide victims of local Kimtang to Khampa Camp in the municipality. A normal life in the district headquarters Bidur has been affected due to the banda since Tuesday. The general strike has hit life in the neighbouring district Rasuwa also. Transport, schools, colleges and markets are closed due to the general strike called by the Bidur Municipality Save Khampa Camp Land Struggle Committee. The locals´ protest comes after the District Natural Disaster Rescue and Relief Committee last Friday proposed the land at Khampa Camp at Chandipokhari as an alternative land for relocating the Kimtang landslide victims. It is said 408 families in Kimtang have been displaced due to a huge landslide. Nnnn
