RAINS CLOSE SCHOOLS
Kathmandu, 18 June: Flood triggered by continuous rainfall since Sunday has caused huge damages in different places of Bhairahawa, Butwal and Palpa,

A road stretch near Siddhababa temple on the Butwal-Palpa road section along the Siddhartha Highway got crumbled due to incessant rainfall, said the Regional Traffic Police Office, Butwal.
Likewise, heavy rain and flood have adversely affected normal life in the human settlements nearby the banks of Tinahu and Danab Rivers.
One person went missing in the Tinahu River yesterday while human settlements around the River side have been heavily inundated, it is learnt.
Meanwhile, the private schools here also announced closure for four days from today realizing difficulty to operate regular school activities, said Krishna Khanal, Chairperson of Private and Boarding School s´ Organization of Nepal (PABSON), Rupandehi Chapter.
With this, at least 200 private schools will remain closed in the district.
The East-West Mahendra Highway and Siddhartha Highway are not in smooth operation because of downpour followed by flood .

26KG HASH SEIZED
Kathmandu, 18 June: Police have confiscated some 26-kg of marijuana from a local vegetable shop in Hetauda Municipility-10 nearby Bus Park on Tuesday morning, said the District Police Office, TSS reports..
The contraband was seized after a local shopkeeper reported police about packs placed nearby his vegetable shop.
The police have mobilised spies to search for those absconding.
