TWO KILLED IN KAVRE ACCIDENT Kathmandu, 9 June: Two persons died in a road accident at Katunje VDC in Kavre district on Saturday, RSS reports from Bhaktapur. . The deceased are Bharat Timilsina, 31 of Kavre Nayangaun and Pramila Karki of Morang Mirgauliya-7, said the District Police Office. They were heading to Dhulikhel on motorbike. The accident occurred when the bike (Ba.35 Pa.1104) fell some 50 feet down in to Roshi Rivulet on the BP Highway. They died in course of treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital, said police. RSS adds from Birgunj: A man died in a road accident near Sukkha Bandargaha in the district on Saturday night. The deceased is identified as Ashok Patel, 28, of Pinibirta VDC-7 of the district, said the District Police office Parsa. He was knocked down by an unidentified truck. The police are searching for truck driver, who has absconded with the truck. The dead body is taken to Narayani Zonal Hospital, Birgunj for postmortem. Meanwhile, all the governmental offices based in the district were requested to close their offices today in memory of Tirtha Khatri, non-gazetted first class officer at the District Land Reform Office, Parsa, said Nautan Pokharel, Secretary at Nepal Employees´ Association. Khatri lost his life in a motorbike accident on last Friday while he was on the way to Kalaiya from Birgunj. nnnn TWO MAOIST PARTIES ENGAGED IN UNIFICATION TALKS Kathmandu, 9 June: One year after a split, two Maoist parties are engaged in unification talks, Dipendra Bista writes in Kantipur.
