UPDATE NEPALI KILLED BY PAKISTAN TALIBAN ON NANGA PARBAT Kathmandu, 23 June: A Nepali was along nine foreigners killed at The base camp of Nanga Parbat the famous 8000 meter high peak in Pakistan. The Nepali hasn’t been identified. BBC said Pakistan Taliban has taken responsibility for the attack. Nepal’s Himalayan peaks for officially open for climbing the monsoon after spring and before the autumn climbing season beginning September. But climbers don’t venture into the Nepal Himalaya that boasts of the world’s tallest peak, including the 8848 meters high peak Mount Everestm the woirld’s tallest, during the annual rainy season. Nepali sherpas—out of a job at home -- help climbers the rains in Pakistan. Foreign expeditions employ sherpas on their ascents in Tibet as well. nnnn
