WIFE KILLED BY HUSBAND
Kathmandu,23 June: A mentally-retarded man killed his wife by using a sharp weapon here at Bastipur-8 of Siraha district, RSS reports from Siraha..
Ram Bilas Mahara took the life of his wife Runa Devi Mahara at his home on Saturday evening.
Police confirmed that Ram Bilas hacked her wife to death.
As the murderer has fled the scene after the incident, the reason behind the murder is yet to be established, said police.
Runa Devi is survived by two sons.

MORE FLOOD DEATHS
Kathmandu, 23 June: One elderly man died yesterday when Jawa River swept him away and one school-boy of nine has gone missing after being swept away by Bheri Khola (river), RSS reports from Jimla.
The man who died is identified as Madhukare Sarki, 70, of Depalgaun- 3 and the boy missing is Kali Bahadur Shahi of Tamti-7, the District Police Office said.
The body of deceased Sarki has been sent to Karnali Health Science Academy, Jumla, for postmortem and the missing child is being searched for, the police said.
A body of a youth has been found this morning in
Tansen in Palpa district.
The body was found near a place called Ghumti at Tansen- 4 under Palpa-Ridi road section.
Meg Bahadur Kumal, 40, of Mankot VDC- 7 of Gulmi district was found dead this morning, said the District Police Office Palpa. Kumal was living in Tansen- 7 for the past some time.

FOREIGN TOURISTS, POSILY CLIMBERS, KILLED AT NANGA PARBAT BASE CAMP ON PAKISTAN
Kathmandu, 23 June: Gunmen shot dead at least nine foreign tourists overnight at a base camp in a remote area of the Himalayas in northern Pakistan , police told AFP.
The attack happened at a base camp for Nanga Parbat, one of the highest mountains in the world, in the Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan, AFP
reports from Islamabad.
There were nine foreigners and one Pakistan i. The incident took place around 10:00 pm. They were mountaineers and based in a camp," Diamer police official Mohammed Naveed told AFP.
"Gunmen came and opened fire on them. It is confirmed that they have been killed," he said.
He could not immediately confirm their nationalities, although state-run television PTV earlier quoted police as saying they included Chinese, Ukrainians and Russians.
"We have sent helicopters to the area to recover the dead bodies. A search operation has been launched. All the entry and exit points have been sealed," said Naveed.
