STUDENT UNIONS OPPOSE ‘ARBITRARY’ FEES

July: Various student organizations have urged the Higher Secondary
Education Board (HSEB) to adopt
strict measures to stop the monopoly of the higher
secondary schools in the admission and the scholarship
fees, RSS reports..
The student unions have expressed objection over the private higher secondary schools charging fees in arbitrary manner
when the Central Fees Fixation Committee at the Department
of Education is yet to complete its task.
Student leaders in the discussion with the talks committee constituted by the HSEB on Wednesday warned that they would padlock the account section of the higher secondary schools if the practice of taking fees arbitrarily was not stopped forthwith. |

18 July: Subash Neupane has been appointed CEO of Nepal Tourism Board.
He was an executive in the Board.
