ARMY CHIEF RETURNS FROM CHINA
Kathmandu, 28 July: Army
Chief Gen. Gaurav Shumsher Rana returned home on Sunday.Gen. concluded a
week-long China
visited and returned home Sunday.
Chief of General Staff Lt. General Netra Bahadur Thapa
received Gen. Rana at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) where a
contingent of Nepal Army
presented paid guard of honour.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai and senior officials
of the
defence ministry received the army chief.
Nepal and
China
signed a protocol on a Chinese grant for
two mobile hospitals
to the army.
The visit has assisted to strengthen and intensify the
century-long
bilateral relationship between the two neighbours, army said in a statement.

UPDATE MADHAV KUMAR NEPAL ALSO RETURNS HOME
Kathmandu, 28 July: UML senior leader Mdhav Kumar Nepal also
returned home from India Sunday after concluding a
five-day visit.
UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokhrel accompanied Nepal on his India visit.

ONE KILLED, 17 INJURED IN GULMI BUS ACCIDENT
Kathmandu, 28 July One
person was killed and :17others were injured Sunday when a bus veered 50 metres
downa road at Hasara in Gulmi Sunday.
A woman was killed instantly.
The bus was heading for Butwal from Johang.
