BAIDHYA DISMISSES ‘FLEXIBILITY’ OF FOUR PARTIES
Kathmandu, 7 July: Chairman of the CPN-Maoist, Mohan Baidhya, has said that the views of the government and four major parties that they were flexible to address his party's demand would count nothing until the 25-point order on removal of constitutional difficulties was scrapped., RSS reports.

At a programme organized by All Nepal National Independent Student Union-Revolutionary affiliated to this party in the capital city, Chairman Baidhya, said, "We are against the formation of present non-political government and 25-point order. So, the four big parties need to agree on cancellation of the order first if they were flexible," he stressed.

He warned that his party would retaliate with forceful preparation of the parties and government for the election if the demand of the formation of national consensus government through roundtable conference was ignored.

On a different note, he said education sector was in need of transformation. Similarly, leader Baidhya accused the government of ignoring community schools.

Kathmandu District Education Officer Baikuntha Aryal said the result of the School Leaving Certificate exams was slow off the mark because of the declining number of students in the community schools, growing number of institutional and private schools, banda and strikes in education sector by the political wings, and undue political interference with the schools.

Principal at the Padmodaya High School, Lalitpur, Bijaya Laxmi Shrestha said the triangular relations between guardians, students and teachers would bring in better results in schools.

ANNISU-Revolutionary Chairman Sharad Rasaili pointed out a need to implement technical and commercial education from grade 8.

Similarly, Chairman of All Nepal Teachers' Organization, Guna Raj Lohani, said only equal and uniform education system would help enhance education quality in the country.

On the occasion, students, securing more than 80 percent in thy SLC exams from 74 public schools and their representatives were honoured.

NO ALTERNATIVE TO GOVT. SAYS SITAULA

Kathmandu, 7 July Nepali Congress General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula has said that Constituent Assembly (CA) election could not be held till four years if alternative to the election government was searched., RSS reports.

At an interaction here today, Sitaula said this government has not other option to holding the CA election.

"The government and Election Commission should prepare to hold the election in peaceful and democratic manner," Sitaula added.

The NC General Secretary also urged the dissenting political parties including the CPN-Maoist to come for talks adding that no political party should obstruct the timely CA election.
