CABINET APPROVES BUDGET SENT TO PRESIDENT FOR APPROVAL
Kathmandu, 14 July: The cabinet Sunday
endorsed four financial ordinances to bring in the new budget and sent them to
to President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav for  approval.

ONE KILLED TWO OTHERS SICK AFTER ACCIDENTALLY
CONSUMING METACID
Kathmandu, 14 July:  A child died and two others fell sick
after accidentally consuming poisonous metacid at Shreechaur in Okhaldhunga
Sunday.
Melina Poudel, aged five years died..
Saurabh Katuwal, and Indra Katuwal are undergoing treatment at a health post.

 ONE DOZEN INJURED IN BUS ACCIDENT
Kathmandu, 14 July:: At least one dozen persons were injured Sunday when a
a bus overturned at Rupakot-8, Ghimire Chautaro
along the Lekhnath-Rupakot road section in Kaski.
The bus was heading for Pokhara from Rupakot.

MEGA BANK LTD. NEPAL LTD. ALLOTS SHARES
KATHMANDU, 14 July: Mega Bank Nepal Ltd. has allotted primary shares to 144,456 people, RSS reports..

At a news conference organised by the Bank here on Sunday, it was informed that the Bank had floated 6.99 million units of shares equivalent to Rs. 699 million, the same was oversubscribed by over Rs. 14 billion, which was 22 times higher.

On the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Anil Keshary Shah, said a larger number of applications filed against the 6.99 million units of shares has clarified that there was no lack of capital, but lack of environment of trust in Nepal.

Similarly, Chairman of the Bank, Prof. Dr. Madan Kumar Dahal said that having 144,456 investors now in the Bank initially established by 1,219 promoters is the public trust on the Bank.

The Bank has been providing banking services through 28 branches across the nation as well as 45 hi-tech branchless banking outlets. The bank was established three years ago.

DC TO MARKET SKIM MILK

Kathmandu, 14 July:: The Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) is to bring 'slim milk' into market from July 16, RSS reports..

The DDC is to bring the cow milk in the market in view of the health of the people suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure. The milk will only contain 0.5 per cent fat.

It is going to bring 500 ml pouch in the market and the price of each pouch of slim milk has been fixed at Rs. 22.

At a news conference organised here on Sunday, it was informed that the DDC is going to bring the milk in an orange coloured pouch into markets for sale for the first time.

On the occasion, General Manager of the Corporation, Siyaram Prasad Singh, said that they have made the arrangements so that milk consumers could buy the slim milk from Kathmandu-based booths of DDC and super markets.

The slim milk going to be brought on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of DDC is its fourth brand.

The DDC running in full government ownership is to sell 6,000 litres of slim milk everyday considering that the slim milk is consumable for patients of diabetes and high blood pressure as well as the obese people, it is learnt..
